This beautiful 2 volumes set has been bound in deep red half calf with marbled boards and end papers with elaborate gilt floral design on the spines. It is the prized first edition with the first volume contains 34 brightly hand colored prints and the second 30, for 64 prints total. The bindings are very good, with a little bumping and loss as shown. There are 2 hand colored title pages and a portrait of Pennant and Linnaues in black & white.

The text is complete, and in very good condition, antique white with a few fox marks, similar to the prints, and spines tight.  An old book plate with crest and initials is present on the inner end paper of both.

The book measure about 9 by 6 1/2 inches open, 4 1/2 by 9 inches closed.  It is now a scarce item and a wonderful opportunity for the collector.
