These exceedingly rare copper plate etchings are from Various Birds and Beasts Drawn from the Life c1626-1704 by Francis Barlow. He was one of the most prolific illustrators and print makers of his time, pioneering not only wild life painting but political satire. Although not well recognized as an artist, his work is superb, portraying rural life in England of the 1700's.

Each print is on lightly toned paper chain lined paper with strong images.
