It was intended to be the most magnificent publication of the age, dedicated to Queen Josephine. When first published the work cost 375 francs black and white, and 1125 francs when coloured, definitely a king’s ransom at the time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt appeared at an exciting time in the history of the world \u0026amp; America in particular.
