These beautiful prints feature two consecutive letters of the alphabet on each page, with the second letter repeated as the first on the following page. All of the letters are depicted ornamentally with various plants and animals, except for the letters \"J\" \u0026amp; \"Y\" which were omitted from the work.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe collotype is an early photographic process. The plate was made by a process of coating glass or metal with a dichromate gelatin or other colloid, washing, then exposing it to the negative with ultraviolet light, then washing \u0026amp; drying before its use in printing.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe prints are in excellent condition with little to no foxing, on a dark creamy, Bristol-type heavy paper.
