Man's costume from Cáceres GAL12 $125

Celebrate the traditions of Spain with "Costumes Espagnols," a beautiful series of pochoir illustrations by Émile Gallois.  Traditional folk dress of Aragon, Galicia, Segovia, Castilla, Leon, Catalonia, Valencia, and Basque regions are recreated in a limited edition printing of 1000 copies, of which this set is copy number 13.   The prints are spectacular, as the colors are extremely vivid and the large size figures fill the page.   Each plate is in excellent condition on thick creamy paper, measuring approximately 12" x 15 1/2" with margins.

The vivid colors of these prints were created by the “pochoir” process, wherein single layers of color were added by hand to a lithograph using a stencil, in a precursor of the silk screening technique which is now widely used for art prints.
