Morchella Conica Mushrooms LEM45 $55

We are delighted to offer these highly finished chromolithographs from the first edition of Leuba’s Les Champignons Comestibles et les Especes Veneneuses, published in Paris in 1890. It is a rare and beautiful work on mushrooms, presenting 52 of the most artistic and decorative prints of mushrooms in botanical illustration, 32 with dramatic black backgrounds. All of the edible species are represented, including the exotic truffle & a few of the most well known poisonous species.

The condition of the plates is excellent, with no foxing as can be seen by the photos. Each print is large, measuring approximately 9 1/2 inches wide by 13 1/2 inches long. There is no descriptive text. The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully. All our prints are authentic antique prints and guaranteed to be from the date stated. These prints are about 110 years old.
