These beautiful prints are from the first edition of the Histoire Naturelle des Oiseaux Exotiques published in Paris by Lemaire in 1836, with the engravings by the Pauquet brothers. The brilliant hand colored plates depict exotic birds - parrots, toucans, hummingbirds among others in all their natural splendor.

Each superb print is untrimmed, measuring approximately 5 1/2 by 9 inches. The condition of these prints is excellent with the very intense and rich hand coloring so typical of French work. All of our prints are guaranteed to be authentic antique prints.
