While our images are electronically watermarked, the antique prints themselves are not.

London Pepping OBS24 $85
Each print measures approximately 7 3/4 inches by 10 3/4 inches.
A black & white rendition of the tree is printed on the verso.

The fruits of Lower Austria are beautifully rendered in this collection of prints from the grower's guide "Empfehlenswerte Obstsorten." Josef Loschnig, M.H. Muller, and Heinrich Pfeiffer wrote guides to growing fruit in different regions of Germany. This guide, published in Vienna in 1912, is for the "Niederosterreich" region.

The artful arrangement of the prints includes the blossom and an example of the leaf, and in many cases a cross-section of the fruit. Many of the plates are embellished with gum arabic. Each print measures 10 3/4" by 7 3/4" on a thick creamy stock. Prints are accompanied by the relevant original descriptive text.
