This delightful work by J. J. Grandville was published in 1867. Each hand-colored print represents one or two flowers beautifully personified, mostly by exquisite flower-decked young belles and the occasional animal. Each is a tableau of perfection and artistic composition that makes these prints unusual even in the annals of botanical prints illustration, where artistry and imagination have always ruled. We are showing  the entire collection of prints, including the two title pages.

The condition of the plates is excellent, with white paper and and almost no foxing as can be clearly seen on the photos. The colors are very fresh & bright. Each print measures approximately 6 1/2 by 10 1/2 inches. The photos are very accurate, so please review carefully.
