These volumes are particularly prized for the artistry and composition of each print, and the beauty and intensity of the fine hand coloring. The condition of these prints is remarkable for a work that is almost 200 years old. There is little or no foxing, with characteristic strong plate marks on Whatman paper that is a soft aged white.

Every single image is imbued with a charm that only Donovan can impart to such  mammals as the mice & bats, with the hand coloring also of the highest quality .  This is a work that is very seldom available & a must for the afficionado of these rare & lovely prints. Each print is accompanied by the original descriptive text and a copy of the title page, and  measures approximately 9 1/4 inches by 5 1/2 inches.
