Mesembryanthemum felinam D415 $25
Each print measures approximately 9 1/2
inches wide by 15 1/2 inches long.
Dr. David Dietrich’s monumental work,
The Flora Universalis, was published in
1831 by August Schmid in Jena, Germany. These beautiful
original hand colored copper plate engravings are in the folio edition size of approximately 9 1/2 inches wide by 15
1/2 inches long. They are beautifully hand colored engraved plates with very vivid coloration after works by such illustrious botanical illustrators as de Candolle, Wildenows and Sprengels. The condition of the plates is excellent, remarkable for a work that is over 160 years old. The paper is soft white to pale creamy, with little foxing, strong plate marks & Whatman watermarks. Please review the photos carefully as they are very accurate. ALL our prints are original antiques, and are guaranteed to be the stated age. These prints are about 160 years old. (Nissen BBI 486)
