Red Corn CAL16A $125
Each print measures approximately 8
inches wide by 10 1/4 inches long.
This rare work was published in 1854 in Stuttgart,
Germany and was edited by Dr C.G Calwer. It was
published in very small numbers, so few copies have
survived the passage of time. It is distinguished by the
beautiful hand colored lithographs of extremely vivid
colors and wonderfully artistic composition. Fruit &
vegetable plates of this quality are a rarity, as many in this
genre are of such wooden composition.
The prints are in fine condition, with the colors of a
beauty and vividness unsurpassed to this day in the
world of hand colored prints. The paper is very white,
with no fox marks and the colors very intense. Each
print measures approximately 8 inches wide by 10 1/4
inches long. There is no foxing. These prints are in
excellent condition, and are over 150 years old.
